After studying painting at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Karagil completed her Master's degree in the Czech Republic. With her very non-traditional style of painting, as well as videos, installations, murals, and photography work in many different areas, the artist's work continues to be exhibited both locally and internationally. The artist, who often reveals the political and social problems of the island through her critical view, has also carried out serious work on body perception. The artist who criticizes the general perception of the female body in particular, boldly treats many subjects, especially sexuality, which can be described as 'shameful' in societies such as Cyprus and generally are not allowed by ethical and moral concepts. The artist, who is exposed to ruthless criticism by this courageous and critical style, has a unique way through her artistic style and ideas.
